For 18 years it has been a tradition at the Infeld House of Culture in Halbturn to present contemporary artists before Christmas. This year, works by Josip Botteri Dini and Claudio Frank will be exhibited. Both artists have not subjected themselves to any fashions, have gone their own way over decades with conviction and have developed their own, easily recognizable style. Works by Josip Botteri Dini and Claudio Frank can be found in private and public collections worldwide.

The Infeld House of Culture in Halbturn honors Walter Schmögner on his 75th birthday.

As the son of the painter Theobald Schmögner, Walter Schmögner came into contact with art at an early age. His talent already was evident at school. After completing his master class, he exhibited his quirky pen and ink drawings in Vienna for the first time. Since then he has been exploring the astonishing, the strange and the quirky with meticulous attention to detail. His work was and remains astonishingly diverse and wide-ranging.

Museum Gugging, Maria Gugging, Austria

Johann Garber has belonged to the Gugging Artists for four decades now. He has made a name for himself as an illustrator but also for “colouring” objekts such as his oversized ear sculpture in front of the RadioKulturhaus in Vienna and large parts of the House of Artists in Gugging.

In contrast to these large-scale multi-coloured works, Garber also produces meticulously detailed, fine ink drawings. Besides the landscapes as main motives, they are always crowded with many people and animals.

Animal depictions of Naive and Art Brut artists are shown in an exhibition at the Infeld House of Culture in Halbturn. Exquisite birds and horses, other Animalia and exotics straight from the artist's imagination dream, love, and tell amazing stories about the world of animals and their extraordinary importance for humans. All approx. 100 works of art come from the Infeld Collection.
Peter Infeld (1942-2009) recognized the stature and importance of those who penetrated the darkness of their subconscious to emerge into the light. He discovered the originality and innocence of the creative spirit in the Naive and Art Brut works he had collected since the 1970s. The autodidacts stand outside the academic traditions and draw from the pure, unclouded sources of their intuition. The artists relate themes, selection of materials used, and graphical hand from your own internal life. They paint animals and creatures that they know best and invite the viewer to return to the exotic animal park of childhood.
