Three decades from Schiele to Schlegel from private collections

On to something new

Infeld Travelling Collection
27. March 2021 to 06. February 2022

State Gallery of Lower Austria, Krems an der Donau, Austria

The exhibition features a rapid trajectory across the art of the 20th century. Roughly 150 pieces by 30 artists from important private collections show how three periods set the stage for the contemporary visual and stylistic language in Austria: the years from 1908 until the end of World War I, the decade following World War II and the 1990s.
Works created by Egon Schiele, Gustav Klimt, Koloman Moser, Arik Brauer, Ernst Fuchs, Wolfgang Hutter, Anton Lehmden, Arnulf Rainer, Hans Staudacher and Curt Stenvert from the Infeld collection are part of the exhibition.
Curators are Christian Bauer and Günther Oberhollenzer.
